Thursday morning we awoke at our trail angels house and had a relaxing morning. We made some pancakes and eggs and took care of chores. Around noon we met up with some other hikers and went to the music festival. One of our hiker friends had gone the year before so we would set up with his crew.
We originally only planned on staying Thursday and Friday but ended up staying until Monday. It was an awesome weekend of friends and music. I was filled with so much gratitude for being able to attend that event with so many amazing people.
Day 117

Woke up at the music festival and had a slow day getting ready for trail and getting back to Belden. We got two hitches to get back. The second one was a couple from Bend, Or that decided to drive us 20 miles out of their way to get us to where we needed to go. It was a long exposed climb out so the plan was to wait until evening. Mantis and I left Belden around 6:30 and hiked up 6 miles. The total climb was around 15 miles and 5000 feet of elevation. We got to our planned campsite and there were already 6 or so people there. Luckily there was still room for us and we cowboy camped for the evening as the bugs weren’t bad.
